wow, i like this pic because it makes sense. according to Lauren Faust , scoota was never meant to fly. she never intended her to fly...so i think technically she's a handicap. this picture is beautiful.
Defiantly the most accurate humanization. Not only that, but your drawing and shading is amazing. Your highlights placed in just the right places. Not only that, but the extra details such as the rainbows on the walls. ;U;
I'm sorry. The picture is nice and all, but really... she didn't deserve it. Fluttershy still flies badly, why wouldn't you draw her one-legged or anything? I'm sure Scootaloo's not being able to fly is some problem with her self-confidence or smth like that. Not a physical problem. I'm angry, yes. I know that as an artist you did it well and that art should wake emotions, and it's original, but... really, hands off the girl.
You realize that this is based on something Lauren Faust said right? That the reason behind Scootaloo's inability to fly was planned to be something along the lines of a birth defect or physical condition of some kind? She did originally plan for that to be the reason, and while it's unknown whether or not the current people working on it will stick to that, people still treat the things Faust says as "canon." Thus that makes this the human parallel to Scootaloo.
And hey, what's wrong with not having a leg? The Pistorius guy was missing both from birth and he turned out pretty freaking good eh? Hell if Scootaloo tried hard enough she could run faster than a large percentage of people/pegasi. Mr. Pistorius could probably outrun 75% of the human population!
New dream for Season 3: They include background pony cameo of Pistorius as an earth pony with two prosthetics where his back legs would be and his name would be "Pistonius."
This is a fantastic interpretation! I think it's really great to see a pony, especially one as courageous as Scootaloo, to be able to overcome a disability. Not to mention that the colours and her expression in this both look gorgeous. Lovely work! <3
